A Christmas Drama for Conservative Churches!

NOTE: This is in downloadable PDF format - not a printed book.

A Christmas Carol in Reverse is the story of Benny, a professing Christian man who has embraced the world's idea of Christmas as a time of food, festivities, and gifts, but has no thought for the true meaning of Christmas. Through dreams of a Christmas past, a present-day mission field and a visit to Hell, he comes to realize that "Christmas never should have been about all the gifts and festivities. Those are just a reminder of the gift Jesus already gave to us when He came to earth!" Benny's story encourages us to open our spiritual eyes to see what really matters in the light of eternity. This drama was written with the hopes of drawing souls to Christ and bringing glory to Him Who is worthy of ALL of our praise!

A Christmas Play by Eloise Haycox

NOTE: This is in downloadable PDF format - not a printed book.

This story opens with a strong-willed young man telling his parents he had been offered a job playing piano at a Night Club. His parents beg him to get more involved with church music but he insists that it is his big moment and storms out of the house. Months later he is offered a job playing for a Rock Band but before he switches jobs he decides to swing by his parents house, not to visit but to just "see" that they are OK. However, his parents have moved and the neighbors didn't know where they went.

Then he saw fire at a senior citizens apartment complex and helped rescue a young boy and girl. In doing so, his hands were badly burned and therefore he lost his job playing for the band. While he was recuperating from his burn injuries, he gave piano lessons and his student begged him to come listen to her sing at the Christmas program practice. Through several different circumstances, he ended up playing for the program. Also, the message of the program finally got to his heart and he turned his life over to God.

A Christmas Play by Eloise Haycox

NOTE: This is in downloadable PDF format - not a printed book.

The opening scene starts with the two Kyger teenagers trying to convince their Grandma Kyger that it is time to sell her house and move into an apartment. They are pretending they care about Grandma's safety and loneliness, when really they are wanting Grandma to give them an early inheritance because their family had spent all their money. Of course they don't have time to "visit" Grandma but say they will be back when they get the paperwork for Grandma to sign. In the meantime, two little neighbor children have been visiting "Grandma" and she tells them about Jesus. They, in turn, tell their mother some of the Bible stories, and she finds Jesus and quits drinking.

There is also the Hendrix family that loves the Lord, and cares about family and people, but the mother had to quit work due to their son's medical needs, and then the father loses his job because the factory closed.

This story shows what a difference Jesus can make in the lives of the rich and greedy, the poor and wretched, and the faithful Christian as long as they are willing to seek Jesus.

A Christmas Play by Eloise Haycox

NOTE: This is in downloadable PDF format - not a printed book.

This story is about a very self-centered young man, Chris, who left his small home town to pursue his career as a doctor. However, he also left behind some of the real values of life, including God and church. He refused to contact his father because of a misunderstanding during his mother's failing health - he felt his father was more interested in starting "the Study Hall project" than in spending time with his dying wife.

When Chris returned to his home town, it seemed that everyone had something good to say about his father, which made Chris have to rethink why he was so angry with him. He finally met with his father and apologized for his long years of absence and for not giving his dad a chance to explain that the Study Hall project was started at the request and insistence of his mother.

The story also includes a little boy, Levi, who had lost his father in a car accident, and his friend, Dawnetta, who donates her liver to Levi on her deathbed.
