L. Joyce Mundy
Lorna Joyce Mundy was born in the hills of rural Martin County, Indiana, the second of seven children. She was brought up in an extended farm family which included grandparents, aunts and uncles. She attended Hendricks, Huron Grade and High Schools, Indiana University, and Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1959. She retired in 1999, after 40 years in the nursing profession. Her hobbies are painting, drawing, writing, and cooking. She started writing the SOUVENIRS column for the Mitchell Tribune in 2001 and is currently writing the SOUVENIRS column for the Mitchell Times. She continues to enjoy turning out a column on a different "old timey" subject weekly.
