(Riker) Dant - 21st September 2009 As I was entering the Evansville, Indiana Barnes and Noble bookstore I noticed right away the title of this book. It caught my eye not only for the subject matter in the title, "the Blue Hole" which is a well known area in Washington, but by the author's name as well. I only knew one man by the name of Wachter and he just happened to be my Freshman biology teacher in 1966 whom I remember as being one of my most favorite teachers. Needless to say I purchased a copy right then and began reading it by the map light on the way home to Washington after dark. All I can say is it was a good thing that I did not have to work the next day, for I read this book through to it's end that night! No one can be disappointed after reading The Legend of the Blue Hole. I recommend it to anyone I know who is a reader. You do not have to be interested in local history, either, to thoroughly enjoy this read! Congratulations, Mr. Wachter! I give you an A+!! Julie (Riker) Dant |
